Federico Trucco, Executive Director

Federico Trucco was born in Rosario, Argentina, in 1977. The son of Víctor Trucco and María Cristina Fossaroli, both first generation university graduates descending from Italian immigrants that settled as farmers in the central-south region of Santa Fe province. Federico is a biochemist with a Ph.D. degree in Crop Sciences from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Since a teenager, he was fascinated by the advancement of biotechnology and its impact on agriculture, a fascination he shared with his father – an influential farmer who championed technological advancements in the sector. While Federico was initiating his graduate studies, Víctor Trucco together with Gustavo Grobocopatel, Rogelio Fogante and some other friends started Bioceres, then a project management firm in the ag-biotech space. Federico joined Bioceres immediately out of school, in 2005. He originally joined the group as a research leader for one of its R&D projects. He then helped organize and initially run Bioceres’ biotech center, a state-of-the-art technology incubator called INDEAR. In 2011 he became the first formal CEO of Bioceres.

Bioceres is today an ag-biotech Flag Carrier for the Latin America region, operating as a business platform across multiple technology segments, with BIOX listed in the New York Stock Exchange, its main subsidiary. Federico is the CEO of BIOX since March 2019. In 2018 Federico was recognized with the Konex award for business innovation for the period 2008-2018, one of Argentina´s most prestigious leadership awards. He was also recognized with the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Argentina in 2019.

Enrique López Lecube, Executive Director

Enrique López Lecube has served as Bioceres’ Chief Financial Officer since December 2017. Mr. Lopez Lecube has over 12 years of experience in agri-business, having held several commercial and corporate positions at leading ag-industry players. Prior to joining the Company, he served as Manager for M&A and Corporate Development at Lartirigoyen y Cia S.A., a Glencore subsidiary, directing investment transactions across the food, chemical, ag-services, and digital technologies sectors, and overseeing the integration of target companies. In December 2016, he was appointed as an executive member of the Board of Directors of Chemotécnica, a crop protection products formulation company. From 2011 to 2014 he was Head Trader for agriculture commodities at Lartirigoyen & Cia S.A, and between 2008 and 2011 he had a commercial role in ag-inputs retailing and grains origination at Cargill. Mr. López Lecube received an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and an Industrial Engineering degree from ITBA (Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires).

Gloria Montaron Estrada, Executive Director

Gloria Montaron Estrada has served as our general counsel since March 2014. She previously served as an attorney at Marval, O'Farrell & Mairal in Buenos Aires for 16 years, where her practice was centered around intellectual property, corporate and banking matters. Ms. Montaron also serves as legal director and secretary of Bioceres, Inc., as secretary of RASA Holding, and as a director of INDEAR and AGBM. She received an LLM in intellectual property from the University of Palermo, Buenos Aires and a degree in Law from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Natalia Zang, Non-Executive Director

Natalia Zang is a business leader with 20 years of experience in private equity and corporate finance, both in Latin America, Europe and Australia. She held C-level positions in several industries, including mining, retail, and real estate. In late 2015, Natalia joined the Macri administration in Argentina, initially as Undersecretary for the Chief of Staff and then as General Coordinator of the G20. Natalia is a sought-after lecturer on business and women leadership issues.

Carlos Ivan Camargo de Colón, Non-Executive Director

Carlos Ivan Camargo de Colón is the President of Sulgás, a gas distribution company in Brazil and is a former director of Bioceres S.A., the parent Company of BIOX. Carlos has extensive experience in both the agriculture and energy sectors, and has held executive and non-executive positions in Argentina, Brazil, the US, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. Earlier in his career, he was an investment banker at UBS Investment Bank and Morgan Stanley. He received a bachelor´s degree in history from Columbia University in the City of New York. Carlos is also a board member of Fundação Cruz de Malta, a Brazilian based charity that assists disadvantaged children and young mothers, and a board member of British Friends of Campos, a UK based charity with a focus on education.

Ari Freisinger, Non-Executive Director

Ari Freisinger was a Principal at Highfields Capital from 2010-2018. Prior to that, he served as an investment banker at Barclays Capital in the mergers & acquisitions group. Mr. Freisinger received a master’s of science degree in economics and social history from Oxford University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Columbia University. He currently serves on the board of the Jewish Family Service of Metrowest, a philanthropic organization in the greater Boston area.

Kyle P. Bransfield, Non-Executive Director

Kyle P. Bransfield was formerly CEO and Director of Union Acquisition Corp. Mr. Bransfield is also a Partner of Atlantic-Pacific Capital, Inc. and has lead the firm’s global direct private placement and structured investment activities since 2015. Mr. Bransfield has over 12 years of experience in direct equity and debt private markets principal investing, capital raising, and investment banking. Prior to joining Atlantic-Pacific, Kyle was an investment banker in Sagent Advisors’ Private Financing Solutions Group. Prior to Sagent, Mr. Bransfield spent over six years as a Principal and General Partner at CS Capital Partners, a Philadelphia-based multi-family office focused on alternatives. In his role he co-managed a portfolio of direct investments, served as an observer to several boards of directors, and fulfilled operating roles within portfolio companies. Kyle began his career in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Stifel Nicolaus Weisel and earned a B.S. in Business Administration from American University.
